TUESDAY MORNING GRAND ROUNDS
Effective June 5, Riverside Methodist Hospital will no longer host Grand Rounds on Tuesday mornings.
While we appreciate the attendance of physicians who regularly join Grand Rounds on Tuesday mornings, that attendance has declined over many years. As technology and physicians’ preferred learning modalities have evolved, more effective ways to meet the educational needs of physicians have emerged. With the conclusion of Grand Rounds, we will be able to focus our efforts on reaching the right audiences with the right content to support our clinical goals while providing Continuing Medical Education (CME) in a more meaningful way.
We understand that some physicians depend on Grand Rounds for their required CME credits, and we are working to ensure you still have many opportunities to complete CME credits in the following ways:
• · Focusing attention on collaborating with our Quality and Patient Safety departments to develop alternate CME opportunities that better meet the needs of hospital-based physicians and align with OhioHealth’s goals in providing exceptional clinical quality.
• · Looking into opportunities to assist primary care physicians with Maintenance of Certification and Maintenance of Licensure.
• · Continuing to offer symposia in many different practice areas.
• · And, we will be offering online CME opportunities in which all physicians can participate.
You can find a complete listing of OhioHealth CME opportunities by:
· Visiting our eSource page: Click the “Department Pages” link at the bottom of the home page under Quick Links, then look for OhioHealth Continuing Medical Education listed under Corp
· Visiting our CME website at www.ohcme.com from outside the hospital network
· Contacting Lexie Sines at (614) 566.4675
If you have questions about this change, please contact Leslie Lynch, Administrative Director of the OhioHealth CME Program at (614) 566.5769.
Thank you for your commitment to continued learning. We look forward to continuing to provide effective CME opportunities and working with you to deliver outstanding care.
